Mar Delestal is a Spanish painter living and working in the Netherlands.
She studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, specialising in drawing and painting. Her work ranges from abstraction to large format portraits on canvas and works on paper, using different techniques. Her tools are oil paint, acrylics, aerosols and collage. Adapting the material to different pictorial techniques and using them in a unique way or combining them to achieve different finishes, effects and sensations in her work. The handling of colour is the basis of her work, as an explosion of the senses in her abstract works, or as intimacy in her portraits with almost monochromatic tones.
She adapts the material to different techniques like impasto, layers, varnish.., creating different finishes and sensations in her work.
